- 2827 VOLTAGE CONTROLLED OSCILLATOR 3 -
ODYSSEY 2 AND AVATAR ONLY - $549.00
We can install a third VCO and support circuitry
inside your Odyssey. The controls are located in the blank section
above the transpose switch. It uses the exact VCO circuitry used
in the Odyssey 2, so it tracks perfectly with the existing VCOs
in your system. It has 2 modulation inputs with modulation selector
switches and pots. The knobs and toggle switches are ARP 2500 style
for a slick look. It also produces all 4 wave-forms including triangle
and sine. The sine wave has significantly less distortion than the
sine wave available on the 2600. This mod takes your 2800 to the
2600 level, and then some. This is only available for the Odyssey
2 - specifically models 2810 thru 2823.

AND AVATARS - $699.00
Take your Odyssey beyond the 2600 into the 2500 realm. This mod
replaces the rudimentary and useless high-pass filter in your Odyssey
with a fully functional multi-mode filter with that incredible sounding
resonance. It gives the upgraded ARP Odyssey (and Avatar) the sound
capability of the ARP 2500. Sounds freaking awesome. We install
a new ARP/CMS designed circuit based on the famous ARP 2500 multimode
filter that adds 4 great sounding and useful filter responses. Expertly
installed with 2500 style colored knobs, and switches.
Important! This incredible new mod from CMS lets you keep your
existing low pass filter. This is because this additional filter,
located after your existing filter in the signal path, has a full
set of dedicated controls. It features 3 dedicated modulation input
pots with source selector switches. They are configured and color
coded exactly like the existing filter. One important difference:
The pot (in red) that sets the amount of envelope generator modulation
that affects the frequency of the multi-mode filter, is bi directional.
Clockwise is: positive AR or ADSR, Counter-clockwise is: negative
and center is: "off". This feature is critical for negative
envelope sweeps.
The coarse filter frequency of the multi-mode filter is controlled
using the existing high pass filter frequency slider.
There is a dedicated rotary resonance control for the multimode
filter.
There is a rotary switch installed at the top of the filter section
that selects the bypass mode and the 4 different responses that
are routed to the VCA. Here are the responses and rotary switch
settings:
- Bypass
- 12Db High-pass
- 6Db Band-pass
- 40Db Notch (phase shift)
- 12Db Low-pass
The convenient bypass setting removes the second filter from the
signal path completely and routes your existing low pass filter
directly to the VCA.
LFO FREE RUN SWITCH -
ALL MODELS - $69.00
It's impossible to get a slow moving sweep on the LFO while playing
your Odyssey's keyboard. The LFO also re-triggers on incoming external
gate signals from a remote keyboard. When this switch is in the
"free run" position, the keyboard and the external gate
input will not restart the LFO as with stock units.
EG TIME EXPANDER SWITCH -
ALL MODELS - $79.00
This mod installs a professional grade miniature toggle switch
(the exact model used in the 2500 modules) in your Odysseys AR or
ADSR section that speeds up the time constant on the envelope generator
to attain 2600 type percussive envelopes. This upgrade now features
a 3 position switch with an extra slow mode for extended attack,
decay and release times. Now available for the AR generator.
VCF
FM3 INVERTER SWITCH - ALL MODELS - $69.00
This mod installs a professional grade miniature
toggle switch and circuitry that inverts the frequency modulation
input #3 of the VCF. This will give you the ability to sweep the
filter downward using negative ADSR envelopes similar to the ARP
2500. The inverter also can invert the AR generator signal going
to the filter as well.
PORTAMENTO SWITCH AND PUSHBUTTON
- ALL MODELS - $99.00
This mod installs a professional grade miniature toggle switch
that turns on and off the portamento circuit. When the toggle is
in the "off" mode, the pushbutton switch provides a momentary
portamento function, facilitating more expressive playing techniques.
This upgrade is similar to the portamento setup on the 3620 keyboard
for the ARP 2600.
REAR PANEL INTERFACE JACKS
- FOR THE 2800 ONLY - $179.00
Professionally installed CV, gate and
trigger inputs and outputs for the 2800 Odyssey using 1/8th inch
Switchcraft jacks. The interface is functional with only CV and
gate inputs if desired. This new and improved CMS upgrade features
high speed operation of the gate and trigger input signals eliminating
the latency problem inherent in the old ARP retrofit for the 2800.
